PARAMEDICS treated a man who was burnt trying to put out a fire at Lynbrook on Monday night.
The 48-year-old man had been trying to extinguish a grass fire at Dandenong-Hastings Road when the ambulance was called about 10pm.
Paramedic Stuart Upjohn said the man had minor burns to his feet and scratches to his feet, legs, arms and back.
“The man was also coughing after breathing in some smoke,” Mr Upjohn said.
“We used water to cool the burns. The man was also given oxygen and some medication to help his breathing.”
He was transported to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition and later discharged.
