Casey invited to celebrate

THE community is invited to join in Australia Day celebrations across Casey on 26 January.
There will be six grant-funded celebrations held by local groups and clubs throughout the municipality.
Mayor Geoff Ablett said everyone was invited to join in the festivities.
“Australia Day is a community day, and a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a community and celebrate,” Cr Ablett said.
Many of the activities will include free rides, face painting, and live performances.
A Day of the Nations celebration will be held on Australia Day at the Arthur Wren Hall on Stuart Avenue, Hampton Park, from 8am to noon.
Two events will be held in Doveton, one at the Autumn Place Gar-dens from 11am to 3pm, and one at Myuna Farm, 182 Kidds Road, from 10am to 4pm.
A celebration will be held at Pioneers Park, Corner Peel Street and Lyall Road, Berwick, from 11am to 3pm.
A celebration in Cranbourne will be held at the corner of Childres and Russell streets from 2pm to 6pm, and one at Tooradin at Sawtell’s Inlet Memorial Island from 7pm to 11pm.
