Police seek hit-and-runvehicle

POLICE are calling for witnesses after a tow truck driver suffered serious leg injuries in a hit-and-run incident in Cranbourne on the weekend.
The man, 25, was attending to a broken down vehicle on Thompsons Rd on Sunday at 9.30pm, about 200 metres north of Breens Rd, when he was struck by a vehicle, yet to be identified.
Police said the driver failed to stop after hitting the man.
Constable Peter Singh from the Cranbourne police station said witnesses described the vehicle as a white utility.
“The vehicle would have sustained damage to the front left panel and bumper area as a result of the impact,” he said.
Police are appealing for the driver to come forward.
Anyone with information about the incident or may know the whereabouts of a white utility with front damage is urged to call Constable Peter Singh at the Cranbourne police station on 5991 0600.
