THIEVES broke into the Peninsula RSPCA in Pearcedale last month and stole an eight-week-old American Staffordshire Bull Terrier worth $400.
Police said the theft occurred sometime between 5.30pm on 19 October and 7am on 20 October at the Robinsons Road shelter.
Thieves cut the padlock on the front gate and took the now 11-week-old dog from the adoption area, police said.
Police said the dog was grey and white.
If anyone has any information about the theft or the whereabouts of the dog they can contact Senior Constable Jo Watson at Casey CIU on 9705 3111.
