THIEVES stole a fridge and threw tomato sauce, sugar and coffee around the kitchen of the Devon Meadows scout hall last week.
Police said the offenders broke into the building through a steel door and ransacked the kitchen sometime between 3pm on 9 November and noon on 10 November.
They also stole toilet paper, plastic cutlery and the contents of first aid kits from the building on Finsbury Road, Devon Meadows.
A spokesperson for the 1st Devon Meadows Scout Group said the thieves “made a hell of a mess”.
“There were no broken windows and besides the fridge they didn’t take much else … it could have been a lot worse,” the spokesperson said.
