Free tips on how to help save the planet

By Glen Atwell
THE co-founder of Clean Up Australia and deputy chairperson of Clean Up the World, Kim McKay, OAM, will speak to an audience at the Balla Balla Centre in Cranbourne early next month.
A successful author, and recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia, Ms McKay will present simple steps to reduce community impact on the environment on Wednesday 6 August.
Two hour-long sessions will be held, at 10.30am and 1pm, and the Casey Cardinia Library Corporation is inviting local residents, businesses and secondary school students to attend.
There is no cost to attend.
Ms McKay is the co-author of ‘True Green – 100 everyday ways you can contribute to a healthier planet’, ‘True Green @ Work’ and ‘True Green Kids’.
Ms McKay was awarded the OAM in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List this year for “services to the environment through executive public relations roles with a range of organisations, particularly as co-founder of Clean Up Australia and Clean Up the World, and to the community”.
She is also a successful social marketing consultant, who counts National Geographic among her clients.
To secure a spot in the audience, contact the Cranbourne Library on 5990 0150.
