IT’S all about safety at Kilberry Valley Primary School.
Grade one and two students at the Hampton Park school have been learning about safety this term, with presenters from around Casey.
On Monday, staff from the Casey Aquatic and Recreation Centre talked about the importance of water safety.
Philbert the frog even made an appearance to help make the kids’ learning fun.
Lisa Cain, special events coordinator at the school, said the four Casey ARC staff provided safety tips for swimming in pools and the beach and focused on rules everyone must follow when near water.
“The students thoroughly enjoyed the day, in particular meeting Philbert,” Ms Cain said.
So far this term, the children have been visited by a crossing supervisor from the City of Casey who talked about road safety, and members of the Country Fire Authority who addressed fire safety.
Ms Cain said the children were looking forward to their next safety talk.
