PAST players and officials of Victoria’s oldest Sup-erules club are invited to kick back at the club’s 25-year reunion.
The Cranbourne and Districts Superules Club will get together this Sunday to celebrate its history as one of Victoria’s premier clubs for over-35 football players.
In its 25 years, the club has taken members from around the south east and played at Beaconsfield, Pearcedale, Hampton Park and Cranbourne.
Steve Bruynen, organiser of the reunion, said the club had always provided an outlet for players to continue their careers “as we got a bit old for regular football”.
Cranbourne was the first club formed in 1981, shortly followed by Central Melbourne, Eastern Melbourne and Mornington, which disbanded early and combined with Cranbourne.
Mr Bruynen urged all club affiliates to come along and bring memorabilia for others to enjoy. The reunion will be held at the Cranbourne Racecourse oval, starting at 1.30pm.
