TOORADIN Primary School’s Education Week celebrations had a definite Australian theme.
To celebrate their education the students had an Australia Day on Tuesday 8 May, along with parents and grandparents who were also invited to join in the fun.
Prep teacher Rachel Davis said the open day allowed parents to share in the terrific learning experiences with the children.
These included making traditional damper, bush dancing, Australian games, Aboriginal style painting, animal origami and even watching whip cracking.
“It was a fantastic day,” Ms Davis said.
“All the children, parents and staff enjoyed working together to mark this special occasion.”
