PLANNING is well under way for the big Cranbourne Pacing Cup meeting on Saturday 29 November.
Cranbourne Harness Racing Club chief executive David Scott said keen racegoers had already booked a number of dining packages.
“Cup night always proves popular with business, community and sporting groups,” he said.
“The timing of the meeting just a few weeks out from Christmas makes this night an ideal end-of-year celebration and we will again be offering a variety of hospitality options for our patrons on the night.”
Last year’s Group 2 Cranbourne Pacing Cup was taken out by the recently retired champion Sting Lika Bee, who amassed in excess of $1 million of prize money on the race track.
In a stellar 12 months preceding his retirement, Sting Lika Bee won the prestigious Hunter Cup along with the Ballarat, Kilmore, Bendigo, Shepparton and Stawell country cups.
