OPPOSITION Leader Ted Baillieu returned to his childhood when he met with local kids at Cranbourne North’s Merinda Park Community Centre.
Mr Baillieu went on a tour of Casey on Tuesday, starting with a Business Leaders’ breakfast hosted by the Enterprise 200 Club.
He then met with management and staff at local business, Hallam Truck Centre in Hallam.
He also went on a walk through a local shopping centre, chatting with traders and shoppers.
At the community centre, Mr Baillieu was given a tour of the vacation care program, which provides school holiday programs for up to 60 children.
He then met with centre managers from Narre Warren Learning and Community Centre, Oakgrove Community Centre and Merinda Park Learning and Community Centre.
Mr Baillieu announced the Liberal Party policy for neighbourhood houses and learning centres, which includes $14 million over four years and funding for an additional 2740 hours of activities per week.
