ROAD safety improvements on a Cranbourne South black spot will commence in January.
Casey City Council has awarded a tender for the construction of sealed shoulders in Pearcedale Road, between Browns Road and North Road, to Works Infrastructure Pty Ltd for $328,265.
Works Infrastructure Pty Ltd has completed other similar construction works throughout the city.
The contract for the shoulders is part of the Federal Government black spot funding treatment to target accident prone sites.
The work will include upgrading the shoulder pavement and sealing to a width of 1.5 metres.
Nearby residents will be notified prior to the start of work, which is expected to be completed within 10 weeks.
