New year rocks in

HAMPTON Park was rocking on New Year’s Eve as locals gathered at the Arthur Wren Hall for the countdown.
The event was organised by Bradford Newbond Promotions to give locals a chance to party into 2007.
Band Mystic and DJ Jeremy made sure the function was a night to remember.
The event followed Bradford Newbond’s successful Boxing Day event in which locals competed for the couples Rock ‘n’ Roll and Jive competition.
Judges Sherine Fraser from 3 SER, Elizabeth Pinto from Bollywood Spices, Sue Kostoulias from Heat Group and Noel Thomas from Vizag and AITW had a difficult time choosing from the many entries.
In the end the winners were Andrew D’Costa, USA, and Lynette Manning, Carrum Downs and runners-up were Natalia D’Souza and Khris Clark of Hampton Park.
The winners received a trophy and an aftershave and perfume set valued at $200, while the runners-up won a trophy and a dinner for two.
