Casey connected by new website

The City of Casey’s community portal, Casey Connect, was officially launched last week by Casey mayor Janet Halsall.
Casey Connect is an online community for groups and individuals, who live, work or meet in the municipality.
Through the Casey Connect website, residents can search groups and services, local news and events, and contact other people within their neighbourhood.
Cr Halsall said that the new website was a friendly and easy-to-use communication and community information tool.
“Casey Connect is an Internet-based portal that provides local groups with free web space to create and manage their own websites, allowing them to communicate with their members, committees and volunteers, as well as the people they are there to support”, Cr Halsall said.
“It also allows Casey residents to search available community services and communicate directly with them, which provides a valuable link that will benefit both residents and community groups.
Well-known technology guru, Ms Megabyte, was the keynote speaker at the launch.
Casey Connect can be accessed via the website www.caseyconnect.net.au
For further information on this initiative, please contact Casey Connect Officer Ann Selby on 9705 5200.
