Angry driver vents rage

A CRANBOURNE woman was assaulted in a road rage incident last week while she sat at the traffic lights.
The 39-year-old woman was driving along Thompsons Road in Cranbourne when she pulled up at the South Gippsland Highway intersection at about 5pm last Wednesday, 4 July.
A man in the car behind her jumped out at the red light and opened the woman’s door.
He then grabbed and pinched her arm and started abusing her.
Police said he then released her and the lights turned green and the woman took off in her car.
The man was described as 19 to 20 years old, of chubby build, with brown hair and wearing an old blue t-shirt.
He was driving a white Holden Commodore.
Police believe the incident may have been caused by one of the cars pulling out in front of the other.
Any witnesses are urged to contact Constable Lauren Murphy at Cranbourne Uniform Branch on 5991 0600.
