POLICE are appealing for witnesses to the stabbing of a man in Langwarrin on Monday night.
It is believed the 31yearold was standing on the apron of the BP service station at FrankstonCranbourne Road about 9.05pm when he was approached from behind and stabbed twice in the neck.
The man staggered to the front of the petrol station and collapsed on the steps.
A station employee ran to the man’s assistance and administered first aid.
He was taken to The Alfred hospital with two lacerations to his neck. Police say his injuries are not life threatening.
Police are calling for anyone who may have information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
