HAMPTON Park Primary School students won’t be out on the sports fields as much this week.
A bulk of sports equipment was stolen from the school last week.
Police said hockey sticks, cricket bats and at least 20 footballs and 10 volleyballs were taken between 9pm and 11pm on Monday, 7 August.
The thieves used bolt cutters to cut padlocks on two sheds at the school, removing a large quantity of sporting balls and other equipment.
It is the latest in a spate of thefts from primary schools around Cranbourne and Hampton Park.
Police are reviewing security footage.
If anyone has any information on the stolen property, contact Detective Senior Constable Ray Ross at Cranbourne Police Station on 5991 0600.
