City head brings some colour to council meeting

CASEY mayor Kevin Bradford has coloured his hair for the Leukaemia Foundation in the colours of the Casey logo – orange, green and blue.
He turned up to the council meeting on Tuesday night looking slightly more festive than usual.
Cr Bradford was still getting used to his new look after having the deed done on Tuesday, and certainly turned some heads in the chambers.
But Cr Bradford said despite looking like he was on his way to a rock concert, he didn’t mind his new look as it helped raise awareness about the Leukaemia Foundation and worked towards a cure for leukaemias, lymphomas and myeloma.
Leukaemia Foundation marketing manager Angela Cross, who coloured the mayor’s hair at the council chambers, thanked him for taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave challenge.
“On behalf of the Leukaemia Foundation, I’d like to thank Cr Bradford for being a great sport and helping raise awareness of the number one childhood cancer in Australia, which also affects many young adults and older people,” Ms Cross said.
“I would also like to thank the residents and Council staff who contributed to the mayor’s challenge or the World’s Greatest Shave.”
The Leukaemia Foundation is aiming to raise $2 million in Victoria through the World’s Greatest Shave.
Donations can be made at Council’s Customer Service Centres or directly to the Leukaemia Foundation at www.worldsgreatestshave.com.
