Woman stabbed outside work

A HAMPTON Park man has been arrested over the stabbing of a woman outside her work on Tuesday morning.
A 21-year-old woman received stab wounds to the chest after she was attacked outside her work in Bayswater North about 12.20am.
Police said the Mooroolbark woman had just finished her shift at the Coles Express Service Station on Canterbury Road when she was approached by a man outside the store.
The woman was allegedly dragged to her car where she was stabbed to the chest with a kitchen knife.
She was conveyed by ambulance to the Maroondah Hospital. Her injuries are not life threatening.
A 27-year-old Hampton Park man was arrested and taken to Ringwood Police station.
Police said they believed the man was known to the woman.
