Santa comes to town in a fire truck

Santa traded his slade for a fire truck when he visited more than 100 children in Lyndhurst on Saturday 8 December.

Firefighters from the Hampton Park fire brigade took a day out of their busy schedule to chauffer Santa to Great Beginnings childcare centre.

Families flocked to Livvi’s Place to greet Santa who he handed our presents to the children – which were books supplied by Great Beginnings.

“Quite often we get requests to go and take the truck and get one of our brigade members to dress up as Santa,” firefighter Hellie Aitken said.

“The kids love it, they absolutely love it.”
