Man, 20, chased, hit with paling

A MAN was chased and beaten with a fence paling during an attack in Cranbourne West recently.
It is believed the 20-year-old man was walking along Raisell Road, near Scarborough Avenue, about midnight on Saturday, 11 March when three men drove up beside him.
They got out of their car and chased the man, who fell over and sprained his ankle.
The man got up and tried to run but was hit on the back of his head with a wooden object, believed to be a fence paling, and pushed to the ground.
He managed to run to a nearby house and was later taken to hospital with minor injuries.
His attackers fled in a dark coloured four-wheel-drive with P plates. They are described as in their early 20s and of Islander appearance.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the officer-in-charge at Cranbourne Police on 5995 4577.
