Lost Dogs’ Home host cat adoption drive

The nights and long, the days are cold, and running a heater is expensive!

Find yourself the perfect companion to cuddle up to this winter with The Lost Dogs’ Home’s Cuddle a Cat Weekend adoption drive.

With adoption fees reduced to $80 for cats over six months old, there’s been no better time to meet the newest member of your family.

The Home’s spokesperson Suzana Talevski said both the Cranbourne and North Melbourne shelters

are now close to capacity.

‘’The shelter is currently caring for more than 700 cats and kittens who have been picked up as strays or surrendered to the Home and with desexing rates continuing to be poor we fear the number of cats coming into our shelter may exceed numbers never seen before,’’ said Ms Talevski.

‘’We are asking the public to open their hearts and homes to our feline friends and bring a cuddle buddy home this winter by adopting a feline friend for life.’’

Reasons to adopt a cat this weekend:

• Cat hugs will keep you warm in winter

• They’ll steal your heart in summer

• You’ll save with discounted adoption fees

• They help reduce stress and make great companions!

The adoption event runs from Thursday 23 June to Saturday 25 June inclusive.

The Lost Dogs’ Home is located at 920 Thompsons Road, Cranbourne West.
