The Tooradin Lions’ monthly Community Market is on this weekend on Sunday 16 January at Memorial Island, Sawtell’s Inlet on the Tooradin Foreshore.
The market will run from 9am to 2pm at maximum capacity with 45 stalls offering a range of products from jewellery, plants, home décor, fresh produce and more.
Attendance is free but there will be the option to donate a gold coin on arrival.
A catering team from Waverley Social Enterprise, which provides structured and supportive employment opportunities for Melburnians with special needs, will be on site for those who are hungry, while a barbecue will also be running.
Patrons will be asked to check-in on arrival as a Covid-19 safety measure.
Run by The Lions Club of Balla Balla, all profits go towards supporting people with a disability, community greening and fundraising for worthwhile causes.
Recent initiatives by the club have contributed to prostate cancer research.
The Lions Club of Balla Balla covers the coastal village communities of Tooradin, Blind Bight, Warneet, Cannons Creek, Devon Meadows, and Pearcedale.
