Clyde land disposed

Casey Council has resolved to sell a parcel of land in Clyde North.

The decision to sell the plot at 82i Como Parade followed a previous motion passed at the council meeting on Tuesday 18 May, when the administrators resolved to commence the statutory process to sell the land to APA Group (Networks).

The sale of the land, known as part of Reserve 3 on Plan of Subdivision 725412J, was conducted by private treaty and went through a 28-day community consultation period.

No submissions were received over this time.

Moving the motion to sell on Tuesday 20 July, administrator Miguel Belmar said the motion would allow the CEO of Casey to continue with the sale and act on behalf of the council.

In seconding the motion, administrator Cameron Boardman said he was satisfied that the correct process had been undertaken prior to the sale.

The funds from the sale will be credited to the council’s Land Acquisition Reserve and used to fund future land acquisitions.
