OLYMPIC champion Kieren Perkins waved the chequered flag on Saturday to send thousands of motorcyclists on their way to the Moto GP at the 13th annual MRA Cranbourne GP Run.
Thousands of people also gathered in High Street from 8am to watch the motorcycle riders head off on their journey from Cranbourne to Phillip Island.
Prior to the wave-off, the crowd was treated to a performance of the national anthem by local resident Madison Pritchett, and families also enjoyed the activities and entertainment on offer which continued to be popular well after the bikes had departed.
