Brave a scary night

By Emma Sun
ENTER the Royal Botanical Gardens Cranbourne bushland when night falls – if you dare.
Explore the gardens and discover the creatures of the night for Halloween on Friday 28 October from 6pm to 8pm.
Sneak through spider webs, creep past carnivorous plants, dash under hanging Dodder and gently wade through the long grass. Spooky scary treats and ghoulish games award those who make it to the Woodland Picnic Area.
Families are encouraged to bring a barbecue dinner and children are encouraged to wear their spookiest costume, suitable for the weather and walking.
There will be a prize for the most imaginative costume (plants are encouraged).
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Entry costs $20 per child or $17 for Garden Grubs Kids’ Club members. Ghoulish treats are included.
Entry fees no longer apply for the Australian Garden.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne is located at the corner of Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne. Bookings are required on 5990 2245. Visit www.australiangarden.com.au for more information.
