A DOVETON man has been targeted twice by vandals who tried to set his car alight.
The victim was woken by his barking dog about 4am on 11 July.
Police said when the man went out to investigate he found two tins well alight placed next to the driver’s side wheel of his maroon Mitsubishi station wagon, which was parked outside his Scarlet Drive home.
The CFA attended, but the victim, with the help of his son, managed to put the fire out and avoid any damage to the car.
Police said the man had been targeted on another occasion but did not report it to the police.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
