Students at Hampton Park Primary School celebrated their STEM program (science, technology, engineering, and maths) with an afternoon of challenges on Tuesday 29 October.
Principal Liz Davy said the challenges were focused on the idea of ‘trying to survive when lost in the wilderness.’
“Students used their creative and critical thinking skills to build a boat to float, a kite to signal for help and a tower to check their location,” she said.
“Everyone was actively involved trying to survive and whilst everyone’s designs may not have meet all standards, they had a great time and developed their skills.”
