Clyde welcomes new businesses

Hundreds gathered for a grand opening carnival in Clyde North where a new learning centre and Veterinary hospital threw open their doors on Saturday 23 February.

Fun included a kids petting zoo, show bags, prize giveaways, free dog nail trims, cupcake making workshops, behind the scenes tours, and a sausage sizzle at the Selandra Rise Shopping Centre event.

Casey Mayor Amanda Stapledon formally cut the ribbon for the opening of Clyde Veterinary Hospital and Kids House Early Learning Centre.

“I think these two businesses are a perfect synergy; providing quality services to those we love the most; our animals and children”, Cr Stapledon said.

Clyde Veterinary Hospital is delivering state of the art pet care at their brand new, purpose built facility which has already treated hundreds of the area’s four legged residents.

“It’s just great to see so many Clyde kids with smiles on their faces learning to interact with our animal friends. Hopefully someday one of these kids will go on to be a vet themselves – I can’t wait to receive their CV,” owner of the Veterinary Hospital Dr Irene Mitry said.

The clinic is the first in the Casey region to be awarded their highest level ‘gold standard’ accreditation by the International Society for Feline Medicine as a ‘cat-friendly clinic’ as a result of their efforts to provide a stress-free environment for cats.

The new childcare service on the corner of Selandra Boulevard provides a safe, secure and supportive environment, with fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities, nutritional meals and outstanding educators, service manager Alana Tily said.

She said the 650 places on offer across the week have nearly reached capacity.

“I am absolutely blown away by the warmth we have received in this growing community and look forward to becoming an integral part of each and every individual child’s learning story.”
