The Australian Taxation Office is running a free program to help people with their tax return for those who earn less than $60,000.
Federal Member for Holt Anthony Byrne’s office will be transformed into a Tax Help Centre from 1 August, where people can receive help completing their tax returns.
“Completing a tax return can be quite a stressful process for many people,” Mr Byrne said.
“I would encourage eligible people to take advantage of this free service that aims to make their lives easier.”
Mr Byrne has partnered up with Tax Help volunteer Tina Jom to deliver this service to the people of the Holt electorate.
Ms Jom is one of many CPA qualified volunteers approved by the ATO who will be helping people around the county this tax time.
“Our office has already had many inquiries this year because our Tax Help volunteer Tina Jom provides such a great service,” Mr Byrne said.
The service is available to all constituents in Holt who fall under the $60,000 income threshold.
