On a clear autumn day at Tooradin Primary School, students grouped in their houses for the school’s annual cross-country carnival.
Every student at the school from Prep to Grade 6 took part in the competition and ran to the best of their ability.
Students in the younger grades completed an 800 metre course that introduced them to running longer distances.
Grades 3 to 6 students ran a three-kilometre course which put the students’ fitness and stamina to the test.
From the students that participated in the cross country run, 48 will go on to represent Tooradin Primary School against other local schools in the district event.
Tooradin Primary School PE teacher Mark Trounson said the cross-country event was possible because of the generous help of the school community.
“Well done to all students who participated on the day and a massive thank you to staff and parents who helped in ensuring the day was a success,” he said.
