Hunt after McDonald’s stab attack

POLICE are looking for three men after an 18-year-old Tooradin man was stabbed at McDonald’s in Cranbourne last month.
The 18-year-old stepped in when, about 2am on 26 July, a friend was arguing with one of the men, who then pulled a knife and stabbed the Tooradin man in the upper back.
A second man smashed the front door of the store with a baseball bat. Police said a third man was present.
They said the offenders left in two cars, one of them a white van, the other a blue Holden Commodore.
The stabbed man was taken to The Alfred hospital and treated for his injuries.
Police said all three offenders were male Caucasians in their late teens or early 20s. One wore white tracksuit pants and a dark-coloured hooded jumper, another wore a brown hooded jumper with a grey beanie and the third wore a blue Adidas hooded jumper.
The assault occurred at the McDonald’s in Cranbourne on the corner of the South Gippsland Highway and Camms Road.
Anyone with information should call Senior Detective Ray Ross at Casey CIU on 9705 3114.
