A close shave and a grand result

A COMBINED effort from Cranbourne locals has raised $2000 for the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave.
It all started when Joanne Webb from the Cranbourne Football Club decided to make a joint event out of the club’s family fun day and Goodstart Early Learning Narre Warren South jumped on board.
Kylie Bartlett from the learning centre said the day attracted more than 100 residents.
“Joanne made the day a public event on the World’s Greatest Shave website and we had another young girl come down and shave her head with Joanne, which was great,” Kylie said.
“We had Elmo and the Cookie Monster down from Casey Characters and face painting, a sausage sizzle and crazy hair.”
