MEMBERS of the Turning Point Family Church in Cranbourne have used shoeboxes to brighten the lives
Members of the church have filled 270 shoeboxes with important items and donated them to Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child.
The boxes were filled with something to love, something for school, something to wear, something to play with, something for personal hygiene and something special.
Children who attend the Sunday morning Kidswerx program at the church stacked the boxes during a morning service last weekend.
Pastor Norma Cayzer said tears flowed when the children presented the boxes to Jenny Hunt from Samaritan’s Purse.
“Each gift of a box shows a child they are valued and brings hope to a child in need,” Pastor Cayzer said.
Members of the Turning Point Church have been donating the boxes for three years.
If anyone is interested in participating in the initiative they can call Pastor Cayzer on 0413 114 711.
