HAMPTON Park’s two teams remain undefeated following round four of the RVBA pennant at the weekend.

The Parkers made the long jourThe Parkers made the long journey to South Oakleigh in Division 4, Section 6 and it was well worth it, with three of the four rinks recording a win.

Les Unwin, Gerry Cox, Geoff Ampt and skip Neville Hendrie led from the start in rink two to give the side a 29-15 success.
Jim Westwell, Fred McBrian, Larry Simpson and skip Graham Slight started well, but faded to lose 21-30.
Geoff Ladner, Lance Davis, Ken Cobden and skip Bob Woodfield benefited from a six-end winning streak in the second half to claim a 26-19 victory. Vince Kovacic, Arthur Parish, Zac Storm and skip Lionel Williams left it to the last end to triumph by two shots (27-25) in the most exciting game of the day. Scores: Hampton Park 16-103 d South Oakleigh (2) 2-89.
In Division 6, Section 6 action, Hampton Park (2) and Keysborough (3) met in a replay of last year’s divisional final, with the Parkers again winning by the barest of margins.
Bob Meaney, Len Bell, Allan March and skip Bill Webb went down 19-27, with Keith McCarthy, Werner Melzer, Allan Mezeris and skip Greg Pentland dropping 16 shots in six ends and unable to make up the difference (20-31). But Lino Da Pos, Jos Van Hout, Paul Barna and skip Bob Nicol held firm to win 27-23.
Ray Wood, Ray Leggett, Mark Paton and skip Bob Naismith made a strong start and moved further ahead to register a 31-13 victory. Scores: Hampton Park 14-97 d Keysborough 4-94.
