Teenager in hospital after senseless bashing

A CRANBOURNE teenager was bashed by two men with a car steering lock after he got off a train last Monday week.
The victim, 19, was travelling from Caulfield to Cranbourne on the train when he was spoken to by a man and woman.
Police said the teenager ignored their comments, before the woman called someone on her mobile phone and asked the call recipient to meet her at Cranbourne station.
Police said the victim got off the train at Cranbourne and was confronted by two men.
Casey CIU Detective Senior Constable Michael Van Hamond said the attackers chased the victim and then assaulted him with the club lock.
His injuries required treatment at Dandenong Hospital.
Anyone with any information about the assault is asked to contact Cranbourne Police Station on 5991 0600.
