Teens charged over Cranbourne crash

TWO teenagers have been charged following the serious crash in Cranbourne this month, where two young passengers from the cars involved remain in hospital.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a Cranbourne man and Lynbrook man, both 18-years-old, in relation to the collision on the South Gippsland Highway on Thursday 5 June.
Police allege the two cars ran off the road, mounted a centre median strip and collided with a concrete pole.
Two passengers, one from each car, remain in The Alfred hospital with serious injuries.
Both men have each been charged with two counts of negligently cause serious injury, two counts of dangerous driving causing serious injury, two counts of speed dangerous causing serious injury and one count of reckless conduct endangering life.
The men have been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday 30 June.
