POLICE are looking for three boys seen running from Cranbourne West Primary School last week with three guitars believed to have been stolen.
About 11am on Tuesday 25 September, a cleaner at the school saw three young men running from a garage at the rear of the school. They were carrying the three guitars in cases and were running towards Camms Reserve.
Police found the roofing had been peeled back from the garage and three guitars taken.
The boys were all described as about 13 years old, slightly older than primary school age.
One had blond hair and wearing a yellow top and the other was skinny and wearing a grey top. There was no description of the third boy.
Police have urged the boys’ parents or anyone who knows of three boys who have recently acquired guitars to contact them.
Police will now check local high schools and try to match the descriptions of the boys with school photos.
Contact Detective Senior Constable Pete Carroll at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 to remain anonymous.
