Man robbed on way home

A 49-YEAR-OLD Cranbourne North man was robbed as he walked home from the Settlement Hotel in Cranbourne North last week.
He was walking near the corner of Ardmore Street and Circle Drive about 2.30am on 26 September when a car containing two men stopped and the man in the passenger seat approached him brandishing a baseball bat demanding the man’s mobile phone and money.
The man handed over some money but said he did not have his phone as he had left it at home. The man with the baseball bat then ran back to the car and it drove off.
The two men in the car were described as being of islander appearance and wearing bandannas covering their faces. The man with the baseball bat was wearing a red bandanna, dark top and blue jeans and the driver was wearing a blue bandanna.
Police are checking video surveillance from the Settlement Hotel.
Anyone who has any information should call Frankston Embona Taskforce on 9784 5543.
