A NIGHT out ended in a walk of shame for a Cranbourne man on Sunday after he was caught doing more than 90 kilometres per hour over the speed limit in Mulgrave.
Nunawading Highway Patrol police were conducting radar duties when they spotted the man doing 170km/h on the Monash Freeway, near Blackburn Road, about 6.15am on Sunday morning.
Officers followed the driver to the Wellington Road exit where he was clocked at 194kmh in a 100km/h zone.
Police said the 28-year-old’s car was impounded on the spot and he was arrested and taken to the Nunawading Police Station where he allegedly blew 0.087 per cent on an evidentiary breath test.
The man was interviewed in relation to conduct endangering life, speeding and drink driving offences.
He was released pending summons.
