Illness caused crash

POLICE believe an existing medical condition may have been the cause of a head-on collision in Tooradin last week.
A Bittern woman in her forties was travelling north along the South Gippsland Highway, near the intersection of Evans Street, about 5.15pm on Tuesday 15 January.
Police said the woman crossed the centre median strip, the two southbound lanes and then collided with the wire rope barrier and then an oncoming Ford sedan.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision, but said it was believed a possible medical condition contributed to the crash.
The woman was taken to the Dandenong Hospital to be treated for the medical condition, but did not receive any injuries from the crash.
The driver of the Ford sedan, a man in his sixties, did not receive any injuries.
