SCHOOL was not boring at Cranbourne Park Primary School last week as students eagerly participated in the school’s Footy Day.
Teacher Jodie Nunn said it was the ‘best day of the term’ as all the students were more than happy to join in the fun.
They did a parade around the gymnasium as each football team was called and the other kids cheered them on.
They were then given a lunch of hot pies and sausage rolls and orange or blackcurrant juice.
Ms Nunn said most of the teachers dressed up as well while some parents also decided to join in on the parade.
The kids then took the initiative to start a football kick-off in the oval during their lunch break.
“It’s a good community event to do,” Ms Nunn said.
“They were all out there socialising and barracking their teams and asking the teachers who they barracked for.”
