CRANBOURNE people can bring out the handyman in Dad this Father’s Day while raising funds for The Alfred Hospital.
Bunnings Warehouse Cranbourne is exclusively stocking a first-aid kit with a handy built-in torch and all proceeds will go to the Bunnings Father’s Day Appeal for The Alfred.
The Flashlight First Aid Kit features plaster tape, gloves, a sterile wound dressing, scissors, bandages, safety pins and a CPR instruction card.
Dr Gerard O’Reilly from The Alfred emergency and trauma centre said money raised from sales would go towards life-saving equipment, supporting research into trauma care and redevelopment of key services at the hospital.
“With around 60 per cent of The Alfred’s critically ill patients being male, the appeal also aims to raise awareness for men’s health issues,” Dr O’Reilly said.
Fui Tisere, Bunnings Warehouse Cranbourne acting complex manager, said since the appeal’s inception more that $1.5 million has been raised.
“We are delighted to be helping The Alfred raise funds to purchase much needed critical care equipment, as well as assisting the campaign to promote awareness of men’s health issues,” Mr Tisere said.
