AN AWARD-winning Cranbourne artist has been named as Casey’s guest artist for an exhibition of top Australian art.
Landscape artist Ern Trembath will headline “Kevin Hill’s Top Ten” Australian Artists Art Show, to be held at the Casey Civic Centre on the weekend of 9-10 September.
Casey mayor Kevin Bradford congratulated the artist at his studio in Cranbourne.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Ern Trembath to showcase his outstanding works, which will hang alongside some of Australia’s most renowned artists, including Max Mannix, Paul Margocsy, Bill Ambagtsheer and the late Pro Hart, at this prestigious exhibition.”
Cr Bradford said the city was lucky have the art show return to Casey, giving residents and arts lovers from all over Victoria an amazing arts experience.
Mr Trembath is a traditional representational artist noted for soft, atmospheric Australian landscapes.
Mr Trembath’s work features in private collections in more than 20 countries. During his career as an artist he has won 30 major art awards and more than 100 commendations.
Last year’s show by Mr Hill, an art seller, was the first and attracted more than 1000 people from across the state. The exhibition is free to the public and most works are for sale.
Visitors have the chance to win an artwork by Paul Margocsy valued at $3600.
