CRANBOURNE Secondary College is calling for past students and teachers to get together and reminisce at its upcoming 30-year reunion.
Students from the former Cranbourne High School’s first decade 1976-1985 are invited to sway to the sounds of the 70s and 80s and catch up with old school buddies.
Annette Pearce, a foundation student of the school, is flying from the Gold Coast for the reunion.
“The last time I got together with some of my old school friends was at a Class of ’81 reunion 10 years ago so I am really looking forward to the get-together,” Mrs Pearce (formerly Coffey) said.
“My years at Cranbourne High School were just fantastic. It was a very important and memorable time of my life and renewing some of those memories with old friends and teachers will be just great.”
Cranbourne Secondary College teacher Jan McAleese, who has taught at the school since it opened in 1976, said the reunion was shaping up to be a big night of celebrations.
“The school will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year so it is very fitting to have students and teachers from those very early years come together to renew acquaintances and reminisce about old times,” Ms McAleese said.
The Cranbourne High School reunion will take place on Saturday, 26 August at the Amstel Golf Club at 1000 Frankston-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne, from 7pm to 1am.
Tickets are $30 and include entry, entertainment and a cocktail party.
RSVP by 18 August to Annette Pearce, phone 0419-949 984, or annette.pearce-@wvtp.com.au, Tamara Morris, 0419-393 608, or Jo McCabe, 0404-824 570 or mjmccabe@bigpond.net.au.
