A HAY shed on a Clyde North property went up in flames, destroying tractors and machinery in its wake.
An ambulance crew passing by saw the fire and notified the local brigade.
Police said the owner of the Hardys Road property had parked a tractor in the hay shed at 3pm last Wednesday, 5 July at 3pm.
The fire was well alight when the ambulance drove past just after 7pm.
Nine firefighting crews attended and some stayed overnight until the next day to keep the fire under control.
The hay shed, two tractors, a tray truck and other machinery were destroyed, causing about $150,000 damage.
Police said the parked tractor appeared to have ignited the fire.
