Thieves hit new police station

LOCAL police have been foiled by thieves recently in two Cranbourne heists.
The new Cranbourne Police Complex on Sladen Street was broken into last week.
The building, currently under construction, was broken into some time between 3.30pm on 11 May and 7am on 15 May.
About $2400 worth of electrical cabling was taken, which had been left in the downstairs area.
Also last week a car was broken into in Cranbourne East.
Police said thieves gained entry into an unlocked garage at a Thames Court home, where the car was parked, between 7pm on 15 May and 5am on 16 May.
The driver’s side door was broken into, with the lock knocked out and personal items stolen.
These included a wallet, cash, credit cards, Medicare card, driver’s licence, chequebook and police identification.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Ed Keon-Cohen at Cranbourne CIU on 5995 4577.
