A 31-YEAR-OLD Mt Martha man blew a blood alcohol reading of 0.213 and immediately lost his licence on Friday night.
Cranbourne Senior Constable Allen Inderswisch said the drink driver was busted after running his car into two parked cars in Stawell Street, Cranbourne, at 6.30pm.
The man must also appear before court at a date to be announced. Meanwhile, Cranbourne police are continuing Operation Spare which is aimed at cracking down on drink-driving, speeding and unroadworthy vehicles.
Sen Const Inderswisch said police had pulled over 529 drivers and detected 109 different offences while targeting known hot spots around Cranbourne.
Sen Const Inderswisch said 20 of that number had unroadworthy vehicles.
“A lot of it is bald tyres, bad headlights and windscreen wipers,” he said.
“We want people to make sure their vehicles are roadworthy.”
The operation has also bagged two drink-drivers including the Mt Martha man.
