Saturday provided one of the highlights of the year at Lang Lang Golf Club with warm, overcast conditions setting the stage for the final round of the 2025 Club Championships.

Anticipation was high as a strong afternoon crowd gathered around the ninth green to watch the final groups come in.

The atmosphere was much different to previous years, and the applause echoed across the course as players completed their rounds.

Men’s Club Champion: Jye Kruyer – 216

Ladies Club Champion: Nicole Ellen – 193 (playoff)

Senior Club Champion: Graeme Kofoed – 152

Junior Club Champion: Levi Perkins – 151

Ladies B Grade Champion: Sue O’Connor – 207

Men’s B Grade Champion: Kevin Greenland – 166

Men’s C Grade Champion: Terry Davies – 199

Men’s A Grade Nett: Graeme Kofoed – 202

Men’s B Grade Nett: Jeff McDonald – 140

Men’s C Grade Nett: Adam Simpson – 146

A Gregg Overall Nett: Graeme Kofoed – 134

Ladies A Grade Nett: Judy Davey – 150

Ladies B Grade Nett: Sue O’Connor – 149

In the daily Stroke (Nett) competition, A Grade saw a close finish, with Graeme Kofoed winning on countback with 65, ahead of Aaron Wiesniewski also on 65, and Paul Christensen with 68 on countback.

B Grade was taken out by Bevan Radhakrishnan on 68, followed by Scott Rushby (70 C/B) and Trevor Robinson (70).

C Grade saw another tight contest, with Glenn Cross winning on 69 on countback from Dave Hubball, also on 69, and Darren Williamson in third on 70.

Looking back to last Tuesday and it was a sunny start to the week with much drier conditions than previous weeks.

Scoring reflected the improved weather, with Michael Fahey taking A Grade on a strong 38 points, followed by Troy Harrison on 36.

In B Grade, Richard Oldham prevailed on 37 points on countback from visitor Stephen Towers.

Wednesday’s Mixed Stableford saw consistent play across the field, with Anne Wedlock leading the way on 38 points, ahead of Anne Schellekens on 36.

Thursday brought another strong field.

In A Grade, Chris Clark returned an excellent 40 points to top the leaderboard, with Jacob Kirkwood and Bill Merrigan both close behind on 38 points, Kirkwood taking second on countback.

B Grade was won by visitor Callum McKenzie with 38 points, followed by Louis Tuck on 37 and Rod Walker on 36.

Sunday began with the annual Pearcedale CFA Golf Day, played as an 8am shotgun start.

The event once again brought fantastic community spirit, plenty of laughs, and great support for an important local cause.

In the afternoon Mixed Stableford, Michael Johansson claimed the win with 36 points on countback.
