Darting deckchairs get a shuffle

The top four teams all changed positions in the last round of the South West Gippsland Dart League (SWGDL)…but the chaos will have no bearing on the first week of finals.

Predators have finished the season in top spot on the ladder after a 10-5 victory over the previously undefeated Cheers.

Nathan threw his second 180 for the season for Predators, who will play Cheers again this week in the grand final qualifier.

Seasoned-veteran Hank had a wonderful highlight for Cheers, throwing his first 180 for the season.

Positions three and four were also swapped around with Just Social moving to third after a 10-5 victory over Mud Rats.

The win of Just Social demoted Snipers to fourth spot; with Snipers having the round-13 bye.

In other games this week, Dart Vaders scored a 9-6 victory over AAA Dartz while 26ers finished the season in style with a thrilling 8-7 win over Dart Devils.

Generals also had a strong win Bullseyes, prevailing 9-6, while Gembrook warmed up for week one of finals with a commanding 13-2 success over bottom-placed Dart Attack.

Finals now begin in the SWGDL, with the top four teams playing for the premiership cup, while teams five through eight will battle it out for the Don Brown Memorial Shield.
